Duffnote Recordings commitment to releasing original music continues with a collaboration between Richard Earnshaw and Alec Sun Drae. Having worked together on a number of songs and productions over the years, 'Music (Is All I Got)' is the first Earnshaw/Sun Drae release. The musical backdrop for Alec's vocal leans towards Earnshaw's 'Sugarsoul' vibe, injecting a little something extra for the dance floor. The vocal is an excerpt taken from a song originally written by Alec and Matt Kye (AM2PM) called 'Strong' which never saw a release. In 2017 Spiritchaser and AM2PM were writing/collaborating and it was during the production of 'Twenty20' (Guess Records) that the recording of 'Strong' was brought to the table and ultimately the phrase being extracted and used in that release. Now, in 2026, the message is reborn...
