The third installment of our Summer Fling sampler series is here, and it's stacked with five cuts that all bring something different to the table. This one was curated by Almost Like We Met co-founder Pia Bayetti, pulling together a mix of new faces and returning artists. Kicking things off is "Login" by Artichokes. This Italian duo has been on our radar for a minute, and this one checked all the boxes right away. Offbeat bassline, a melodic vocal that keeps things moving, and just enough synth work and chops to keep it interesting without overdoing it. Next up, new to the label, King Fluff links with MICVH on "Bad Decisions." We've been sitting on this one for a bit and it's finally time. It's playful, bouncy, and full of swing. The vocal cuts through clean and the odd little sounds tucked throughout give it that extra personality. Teknicoz and Orville Kline return with "Show Me," taking things a little deeper. It starts as a slow burn with a pitched-down vocal, then opens up into darker melodic arps and a more aggressive edge once it drops. Sebastian Wav is back as well with "Benavidez," a more stripped-back, minimal groove. Deep bass, tight percussion, and those quirky touches that sit just under the surface and keep it moving. Closing things out is newcomer Zerek Doolvnder with "Big Daddy." A low-slung roller with solid drums, playful vocals, and just enough weirdness in the background to round it out.
