Quick, somebody sound the klaxon to alert followers of chuggy-italo-cosmic-mutant style disco, weve got an absolute slam dunk here by Nutritious! Nutritious first came on our wave length via a flow of pretty amazing release via our very good friends at Paper Recordings (which you should really check out!) so were thrilled to snag him and his unique stylings on the Chromatic Palms E.P. Norway in Italy begins the party and is a slo-mo funk laced groover with a relentless Bernie Edwards style bass line & Nile style guitar licks that hook you right in from the off and guarantee much shoulder twitching. Spaced out synth sounds blast in & out alongside warped vocal samples to create a masterclass in how to do weird & wonderful with a 10/10 score. Acid Reign takes the crown for our most wonky sounding release of the year! Right off the bat is an insane sounding synth/bass sound hybrid that sounds like its from another dimension. A few disco strings pop up for a chat with some synth stabs, vocodered/Speak & Spell style vocals and a couple of dramatic drops make this an absolute dance floor mega weapon. Already favoured & supported by Richard Sen on his Do!!You!!! World! Show. BIG!!!

Our man from across the pond and purveyor low-slung wonky disco, Nutritious, is back with more late night sleazy business. Touch The Sky funks the house, pitches it down and ups the groove. Trippy, hooky vocals bring the soul, sitting perfectly over live instrumentation and 70s electronics for the ultimate party tune, one for the heads and dancers alike. Human Love Frequencies takes things deeper with snatched vocal samples, arpeggiated bass and a fifth synth for dance floor detonation. The on-point blend of old and nu skool makes this devastatingly effective.
