A blossoming creative bond within Tel Aviv's electronic music scene, Golan Zocher and Netaaa step forward on Clubsonica Records with "Magma", an emotive original built around the soulful vocals of Ojeni, backed by remixes from Chilean-Canadian veteran Simply City and Córdoba's COQUEIT. Owner of the respected Bloom Records imprint, Golan Zocher has firmly etched his place in progressive house lore since a 2016 debut on Crossfade Sounds, before going on to grace JOOF, Perspectives Digital, and Mango Alley with support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Joining him is fellow Tel Aviv talent Netaaa (Neta Barkai), whose journey began behind the decks at twelve before a self-taught grounding in production set him on course to blend genres into something distinctly his own. Reprising the chemistry she brought to Zocher's 2023 outing "Alive", Ojeni once again lends her voice, her authentic delivery, and memorable hooks to the project. "Magma" is thus a beautifully imagined track that drifts easily along with 8th note melodic cadence and 16th note bass groove. The result is a superbly crafted 5-minute piece that creates a smooth melodic foundation and intensity for Ojeni's vocals to sit easily atop, creating a truly memorable collaboration between 3 artists at the height of their respective powers. Up first on remix duties, Chilean-born, Montreal-based Simply City was crowned Chile's best DJ at the turn of the millennium before a 2011 debut for Bad Pony launched a production career now built on a longstanding creative partnership with Hernan Cattaneo. A resident at Stereo Montreal since 2012, August 2026 saw an appearance at the Balance Croatia festival with "Tisno" released on the renowned Balance Music. Now turning his storytelling instinct and ear for melodic depth, the Simply City remix is a near 10-minute magnum opus that bristles with sustained bassline power and head-shaking percussive groove. Creating a strong dancefloor narrative, familiar vocals from Ojeni create a magical ambience that comes to the fore throughout, particularly at the atmospheric breakdown. Full of club-friendly prowess, the rework is a perfect vision of shimmering sun over lapping waves. Closing out the EP, Córdoba's COQUEIT discovered his calling for electronic music watching Eelke Kleijn perform in 2013, an experience that set him on a path shaped by the influence of countryman Hernan Cattaneo. Since 2020, his productions have found homes on Univack, Mango Alley and Pattern. Returning to Clubsonica Records following April 2025's 3-track "Warning" EP, COQUEIT brings his hypnotic, bass-driven signature to "Magma". Propelled forward with a thumping kick and machine gun-fire bassline, the gravitas is lightened by Ojeni's angelic vocal lines while familiar melodic patterns make their presence felt alongside a searing new detuned lead at the breakdown. The Argentine's rework is thus a fitting close to the package. Directed by Juan Pablo Torrez Mastered by Dub On Audio Press Release by James Warren Design by Dave Caro
