Pluralistic Records reaches release 99 by bringing it back to family. JedX (Santa Rosa, USA) first joined the label with PLR006 and has been part of its foundation ever since-always showing up, always bringing new music, and always putting funk first. On Re-Rubs & Rubba-Dubs, he returns to multiple tracks he previously released on Pluralistic, reworking each one from top to bottom and giving the entire collection fresh mastering, deeper grooves, sharper drums, rubbery basslines, chopped vocal hooks, and renewed dance-floor muscle. Moving freely through disco, soulful, deep, techy, and straight-up house, the LP is more than a retrospective: it is a celebration of evolution, loyalty, and a creative relationship that has lasted almost the entire life of the label. Release 99 belongs to Jed because Pluralistic has never only been about records-it has always been about family.
