Not new in our ranks, Mike Isai returns with a solid double-header and the usual amount of peak time energy and abundance of groove. Drawing inspiration from the sounds of New York Citys nightlife, Mike is taking his own vision to clubland with a trademark sound that allowed him to sign on some respected imprints such as Hope Recordings, One Dot Six Two and Mango Alley. Not to mention his massive EP Exit we released in 2024. For this new chapter he opens with Control, and here we are introduced to the deep tribal stylings rooted in the most pure tradition of the Big Apple clubbing tradition. Tough and uncompromising, the groove is bass heavy and soulful, becoming hypnotic with consummate ease. Next up, Desire has a similar tribal feel. Groovesome and chunky, this is one for the darker floors in the early hours where the phones are forgotten and music is the only thing that matters.
