Matan Caspi presents The Alchemist / The Witness on Univack, a new two-track EP that clearly reflects the breadth of his language as a producer and his ability to move across different shades of club-oriented electronic music without losing a recognizable identity. With Progressive House as its starting point, Matan incorporates nuances of Deep Techno, Melodic House, Indie Dance and Electronica to build a release made up of two compositions that share meticulous production, while offering complementary approaches to the dancefloor. The Alchemist moves forward with an immediate and infectious energy. Its strong vocal presence, synthesizers, effects and carefully articulated percussion create a dynamic framework in constant motion. It is a groove-driven track, direct yet filled with subtle details that enrich its evolution. In contrast, The Witness opts for a deeper and more restrained intensity. Elegant, hypnotic and powerful, it develops its strength through rhythmic pressure and tension, atmosphere, and an extremely precise treatment of every melodic, vocal and percussive element. Its dark and refined character gives the EP a more introspective dimension without losing its effectiveness in the club.
