Italian artist Luca La Greca, better known as Lucalag, returns to Piston Recordings with the fantastic Fly Mode. Luca first uncovered his passion for DJing at the age of 18, diving deep into the worlds of house and deep house, where his unique touch quickly won over both crowds and fellow artists. His craft has been shaped on the dancefloors of respected Italian venues including La Casa Sul Fiume, Syncopate, Le Folies du Plaisir, and Colazione da Tiffany, each playing a role in refining his vibrant musical identity. Since 2020, he has been steadily rising through the ranks with quality releases on labels such as DHF Records, Houph, Cross Land Music, Moiss Music Black, M-Soi Records, and Oh So Coy Records. Were delighted to welcome him back to the label once again. Fly Mode opens the release with a chunky, full-bodied kick drum, snappy clicks, and shimmering hats that lock into a crisp rhythmic groove. Sweeping FX glide through the background, adding depth and atmosphere as warm, breathing chords spread across the mix. An infectious sub-level bassline pulses, laying down an irresistible low-end drive. Striking synth lines cut through with character, delivering a classic deep-house vibe that feels fresh. Bigger Spaces concludes the release, opening with punchy kicks, slicing hi-hats, and a tightly locked rhythmic groove, enhanced by hypnotic slapped drums. A thick, plucky bassline drives the momentum forward as mesmerizing chords swell into the mix, paired with gated synth sequences that add movement and tension. Deep pads introduce warmth and depth, contrasting beautifully with bright hi strings that shimmer overhead. The break unveils a cool arpeggio, steadily building anticipation before a classic snare roll launches the track into its final act.
