Elaste Records is a music label based on one of the most innovative and influential zeitgeist magazines of the New Wave era, which was founded and published in 15 large-format issues from 1980 to 1986 by Thomas Elsner (graphic design, photography), Michael Reinboth (text, interviews, music), and Christian Wegner (photography). During the nearly five years spent working on the 560-page book Elaste 1980–1986 (publisher: DCV), released in November 2025, Thomas Elsner and Michael Reinboth joined forces out of love, profession, and passion to bring this era back to life through music. Their motto: Celebrate the 80s. So the guys are starting from scratch with the old and new tracks they release on Elaste Records.
