EXTIMA welcomes Delhi-based DJ / producer Kount to the label with his debut release, "Sorcery" EP — a dark, hypnotic two-tracker built for the deeper edges of the peak-time techno spectrum. The title track "Sorcery" is a groovy, stripped-back weapon where minimal techno aesthetics collide with subtle psy-trance influences. A massive, rolling low end drives the track forward while sharp, infectious percussion and psychedelic details create a constantly evolving tension. Functional enough for the dance floor yet packed with character, "Sorcery" sits perfectly between hypnotic minimalism and peak-time pressure. On the B-side, "Master Mind" dives even further underground. Gloomy atmospheres, a heavy low-end foundation and haunting, almost depressive vocal elements create an unsettling sense of obscurity throughout the track. Dark, raw and hypnotic, it is another strong demonstration of Kount's ability to build stripped-back techno around mood, tension and groove. With "Sorcery" EP, Kount makes a powerful first appearance on EXTIMA — psychedelic, shadowy and uncompromisingly underground.
