Short Circuit welcomes KiRKie with 'Do Ya Thang', a two-track EP of deep tech house cuts bringing together weighty low-end, tight rhythms, and raw club energy. Opening the release, 'Do Ya Thang' is a punchy, groove-rich cut driven by a bouncy, thick bassline, crisp drums, and memorable vocal cuts. Stripped back and to the point, its tight production keeps things focused and effective, making it equally suited to daytime sessions and late-night clubs. Direct and energetic, it delivers a record that gets people dancing. On 'Take A Look,' KiRKie takes things slightly darker. A chunky beat and weighty low-end give the track a raw edge, while male and female vocal cuts play off each other throughout. Laced with attitude and driving energy, it's the kind of club cut that grabs attention and brings plenty of bass-face moments to the dancefloor. Bradford-based DJ and producer KiRKie has built a reputation for his deep, underground sound and high-energy performances, appearing at some of the UK's most iconic venues and festivals. Blending house, techno, and deep grooves, his productions have earned support from Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Franky Rizardo, Mahony, and Wheats, while recent releases have seen him gain recognition from a growing number of respected underground labels. As the founder of Uncut, KiRKie also continues to champion forward-thinking talent through his own label. With Do Ya Thang, KiRKie delivers two focused club records, moving from stripped-back groove to deeper, darker territory for another strong addition to the Short Circuit catalogue.
