Madlochs Sound Avenue welcomes Joca to the main label with his new three-track release, Into The Darkness. Based in Victoria, Canada, the producer first appeared within the Sound Avenue family in 2023 through the Three Of A Kind series on 3rd Avenue, a debut rooted primarily in organic house. Since then he has contributed several remixes for artists such as Elliot Moriaty and blondewearingblack, RossAlto, Fabian Ballino and Umannto, while also appearing on respected imprints including Kodai, Be Adult Music, Nordic Voyage Recordings, Stellar Fountain and our own Future Avenue. With this new EP he reveals another side of his artistry, showing a clear versatility as he shifts toward a deeper and darker progressive house sound. With Night Movers, Whisper of the Shadow and Cells Interlinked, Joca presents a refined and atmospheric EP shaped around mood, pacing and carefully sculpted groove. Each track sits firmly within the realm of deep progressive house, carrying a sense of tension and quiet movement, balancing deep textures with restrained melodic detail. His ability to weave shadowed tones into warm, flowing structures gives the EP a clear identity, one that aligns naturally with the Sound Avenue sound. In addition to his work as a producer, Joca has also contributed behind the scenes as part of the 3rd Avenue A&R team from time to time.
