Freestylers join forces with Jason Laidback for 'Need U Tonight,' the fourth release from Jason's forthcoming full-length album - a euphoric breakbeat cut pairing classic rave DNA with a warm, soulful melodic streak. A stirring female vocal supplies the emotional hook, shifting between a deeper, sultry register in the breakdowns and a higher octave for an extra lift as the track builds. Underneath, a huge booming kick anchors the groove while shimmering arpeggiated synths, bright chord stabs and a steady rolling bassline drive the melodic progression forward. As the bass filter gradually opens, the sound grows wider and more expansive, steadily ratcheting up the anticipation. Then come the Amens. Classic breakbeat energy takes over as the track bursts into full rave mode - euphoric, uplifting and unapologetically fun. 'Need U Tonight' balances soulful vocals and melodic warmth with the raw rhythmic rush of breakbeat bliss.
