Asymmetric main man Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a singular five track EP 'Spinning Out'. 'Front Left' opens the EP and hits hard with its four-to-the-floor and constantly moving heavy synth stab; absolutely aimed for peak time in a small dark smoke-machine filled room. Title track 'Spinning Out' follows; a punchy kick and shuffling hats introduce a jittering arpeggiated motif which gives way to an irresistible heavy acid line in the second half of the track. The more minimal 'Ripples' centres the release with its constantly twisting polymetric notes set against machine-like analogue drums before 'Nimbus' where delicate bell-like melodic elements swirl around a staccato-like rhythm. Closing track 'Coastal Plains' slows the tempo and melds a soothing wash of echoes and acid burbles with an off-beat rhythm and percussion.
