SHIFT marks a new chapter with El Afters - the label's debut EP and its first collaborative release. Following two singles, Nichols+Roark step up alongside Human Rias of Munich as their first creative partner to help define what people can expect from the new label. The two-track EP captures the restless energy of the early hours and the quiet disorientation of the dancefloor. The title track El Afters opens with an almost sinister Spanish vocal that acts as the night's inner voice - the one that keeps you searching long after the music stops, chasing the all familiar 'afters'. Built on driving indie dance rhythms, it channels the relentless pull for 'what's next'. Lost in the Club closes the EP on a more introspective note. A track about the push and pull of modern club culture and masculinity - the feeling of being surrounded by people, but lost at the same time. The lyrics are simple and honest: lost in the club, all these girls in the room, keep on dancing. The music does what the title says - it keeps you moving, head down through uncertainty.
