Gianluca Pegoiani joins Cadenza with The Row, a release that is equal parts driving, hypnotic and quietly unsettling. Pulsating rhythms emerge through fuzzy textures as ominous ambience bleeds into the groove. Curiosity guiding each twist and turn, as intricate melodies flicker back and forth in an otherworldly exchange. One world slowly melting into the next. The release moves into murkier waters, as the roots of minimalism take hold. Whispered fragments chattering between hard claps and blurred synths. Introspective sounds that ease the tension, before the darker shades of techno emerge to close. Industrial at its heart, The Row captures a consistent theme. Clanging mechanics that collide with a pummelling groove, a haunting presence never far away. A long time explorer of analogue, Pegoiani invites us deeper into his world, where mystery and momentum exist in perfect balance.
