For their next release, Mode Recordings call on Gesher for the 'Bounce Back EP', marking a welcome return to the scene for the Nottingham-based producer, who's previously seen seminal releases on Jammz' I Am Grime imprint. The first half of this EP has a dubstep-leaning sound, with the shuffling percussion and bright synths of 'Alright', and the rolling halftime grooves on the slightly darker 'Bounce'. 'Woop Dee Do' brings in a grimier approach with it's growling squarewaves, leading on to the skippy and frenetic closer 'Butane Gas'. This is definitely one for the dancefloors.
