Tashs Movement Limited welcomes Gabriel Amato to the label for a two-track artist showcase. Rising out of Argentinas electronic music underground, Gabriel Amato first emerged in 2017 with Maylum, a two-track EP via Nicholas Van Ortons BCSA imprint. Recognized for his progressive sound, the release would propel the Buenos Aires resident to future projects for 3rd Avenue, Droid9, Massive Harmony and Transensations. Movement Recordings would also become a landing spot for Gabriel, with his label debut coming in 2020 with Astral, an EP which would spawn an appearance on the Antibiotix collection later that same year. Now, coming off a year length hiatus, Gabriel returns to the Movement label collective, making his debut on the Limited division with Into The Darkness. The title track gets the release underway and sits as one of Gabriels most cosmic yet club-effective productions to date. Punchy kick drums and tight contoured grooves set the foundation for a narrative of cascading chord stabs and gaseous effects. Vibrant arps emerge across the first act, creating a trippy canopy of sound for a big, bold and undeniably poignant wave of atmosphere and colour. Percolating and evolving across the main break, tension and emotion only elevate further, before eventually reaching a dramatic crescendo and suitably stripped back finale. Beneath the epic qualities of Into The Darkness lies the equally impressive vibes of X-1. Opting for a deeper yet groovy approach, Gabriel flexes his melody crafting prowess once again, as fragmented top lines and hopeful pads descend over warm contoured grooves and a mature no frills percussive complement, for what results in a perfect morning record.
