Felipe Cortes makes his Cadenza debut with Sabor, a carefully crafted two track release shaped around the spirit of its maker. Soft percussion sets an easy pace in 'Sabor', a myriad of melodies swirling through subtle pads and warm keys. Soft Latin chants call across the groove, as bright textures loop beneath. Classy and uplifting, energy flowing with ease. The heat continues to rise in 'Soledad', as tribal percussion takes a firmer hold. Prominent notes rise high above the beat, a powerful narrative rich in musical detail. Melodies that sing a song, deeply emotive, from the strum of the string to the cry of the sax. Two tracks rich in melody and rhythm, Felipe Cortes has arrived on Cadenza.
