Distant Dreams is an evolution of everything Faze Action have always stood for: musician-led, melodic dance music. Since their earliest releases, Faze Action have occupied a distinctive space in the musical landscape, where rhythm, harmony and atmosphere carry equal weight. Their records have never chased trends or relied on eras for meaning. Instead, they've focused on musical longevity. Work that functions on a dance floor and, more intimately, revealing deeper detail through repeat listening. That philosophy runs through Distant Dreams. The album blends warm, fluid rhythms with live strings, Rhodes, horns, vocals and percussion. Drawing on Balearic, disco, jazz-funk and soulful dance traditions without falling into pastiche. It's expressive without excess, emotional without sentimentality, and confident in its restraint, evoking a lost, sun-drenched Mizell Brothers–era fantasy. The LP also features long-standing Faze Action collaborator Zeke Manyika on vocals, bringing a familiar depth and soulful presence to the record. Pressed on vinyl, Distant Dreams works as a complete album experience, something to live with, while offering moments that DJs will naturally reach for when the room calls for musical depth. For the third and final single, Faze Action team up with Zeke Manyika on Batanayi, a classic slice of African jazz-funk disco made for the summer festival season. Sung in Zeke's native Shona language, translating simply as "Unite," the track pairs soulful, uplifting vocals with live horns and an irresistible rhythm. With its subtle European lilt and Afro-disco energy, Batanayi evokes the spirit of a lost Parisian studio session from 1980 a timeless summer record in the making.

Faze Action return with Journey Through Your Mind, the first single taken from their forthcoming album Distant Dreams. An uptempo British jazz-funk / disco track rooted in live musicianship and an analogue approach. Built around a locked-in rhythm section of live drums, bass, congas and percussion, the groove moves with ease and natural swing. A warm Rhodes piano leads the way, stretching into a fluid solo, while the vocals sit loose and soulful, riding the rhythm rather than forcing it. Unshowy and unpolished in the best sense, Journey Through Your Mind feels closer to a forgotten UK session cut than a modern disco record focused on touch, tone, and feel, and letting the music do the talking.
