DSTRD SGNAL return to Bonzai Records with another heavyweight workout titled, New Tech. The German duo, Stephan Kessler and Torben Schmidt, joined forces in 2022, bringing together years of experience and a shared passion for pushing electronic music into new territory. Kesslers impressive back catalogue includes projects such as Art Academy, Lage Synthetique, Aircrash Bureau, 3 Men, Blackstar and Dark Noize, while Schmidt has worked extensively as an A&R manager for labels including Suck Me Plasma, Tetsuo Recordings and Bonzai Germany, alongside his own productions under aliases such as Mindscape, Noise Control and Aqualite. New Tech comes in three flavours, with the Original Mix delivering a rugged techno workout steeped in dystopian vibes. Chunky beats, deep bass and striking synths drive the groove, while dark vocal snippets add tension and character. The SGNLS Version takes things deeper, combining tough beats and subby bass with sharp, sci-fi-tinged synths. Cortex Thrill rounds out the release with their signature cinematic style, pairing a powerful rolling bassline with tight beats, rhythmic percussion, scathing synths and dark vocal touches for a hypnotic, immersive finish.
