Ben Gomori celebrates a decade of his label Monologues Records by cherry picking some of the labels biggest moments, most overlooked gems and personal faves. From deep house to disco, kwaito, Balearic, progressive, melodic techno, breakbeat, chug, afro house, jazz house, house house and more, the compilation showcases the eclectic history of the label whose releases have found support from everyone from Gilles Peterson to Kerri Chandler, The Blessed Madonna, Kamma & Masalo, Colleen Cosmo Murphy, TSHA and many others. Always pushing quality music whatever the vibe or genre, the compilation stands as a testament to the Monologues ethos of side-stepping trends in favour of simply signing and supporting good sh*t, wherever it comes from.
