After more than two decades of shared history, Lenzman & Redeyes return with Out The Dance, the first single from their forthcoming collaborative album The Quiet Space Between, due later this year via The North Quarter. Out The Dance is an uplifting, jazz-inflected Drum & Bass record that feels timeless rather than trend-driven. Warm, musical and full of space to breathe, it carries the hallmarks of both artists: soulful weight, subtle groove, and a deep respect for the craft of songwriting. The production is crisp and modern, yet rooted in a classic sensibility. music made to last, not to chase a moment. South London vocalist Danny Sanchez brings a fresh R&B and hip-hop flavour to the track, floating effortlessly over Lenzman & Redeyes' elegant, rolling instrumentation. His voice adds both intimacy and lift, giving the record its emotional centre and its sense of quiet optimism. The story of Lenzman & Redeyes stretches back over 20 years, to when Lenzman first booked Redeyes at his Fever event during the 2006 World Cup. At the time, Redeyes was already releasing music on labels such as Bingo and Creative Source, while Lenzman was only just beginning to find his own voice as an artist. A strong connection formed immediately, built not only on a shared love for Drum & Bass, but also hip-hop, soul and football, and it wasn't long before they started making music together. Their first collaborative release, High & Low / Thieves In The Night on Integral, quickly became a fan favourite. Over the years, their musical relationship continued to grow, especially after the launch of The North Quarter, where Redeyes released several projects. As a duo they also released two joint EPs: Wonder Years and After Hours. What began for many years as a half-joking dream of 'one day doing an album' finally began to take shape following the release of After Hours on Five Alley. The conversations changed, the groundwork was laid, and the vision became clear. Out The Dance is the first glimpse into that vision. It's a record that embodies the spirit of the project: honest, musical, unforced. and made with love.
