We're back with Neighbourhood Watch Volume 8, locking in 5 artists from across the underground that have been on heavy rotation. Paul Blackford opens the VA with a laid-back electro cut that leans into his signature bass-driven sound. Since his debut on Breakin' Records in 2003, widely recognised as a pioneering UK take on the electro bass style, he has built a deep catalogue across a range of respected labels. His productions sit in a downtempo space, shaped by rich textures and weighty low-end, giving his sound a distinct and enduring character. Kosmodod is a Reykjavik-based artist and member of the Sweaty Records crew, steadily carving out a place in the electro underground. Also known as one half of Polar Attraction alongside jadzia, his output leans into crisp, functional rhythms with a distinct, off-kilter edge. Fresh off a remix on our latest vinyl with Volruptus, he continues to showcase a sharp, club-ready sound that's both refined and unpredictable, a true electro wizard. Konerytmi is an alias of long-time electro artist Kirill Junolainen, whose extensive catalogue spans over 100 releases, including more than 60 on vinyl. Moving fluidly across genres and moods, his work is defined by a fusion of rich melodic elements and forward-facing, hard-hitting rhythms. With a deep-rooted presence in the electro scene, he continues to deliver a sound that feels both expansive and unmistakably his own. Niklas Roland is a DJ and producer based in Augsburg, navigating a wide spectrum of electronic music with a curious and open approach. While his sound draws from across genres, he consistently returns to electro and breakbeats, driven by their high-energy and playful club appeal. With previous releases like '861 Phonk' already making an impact, he continues to refine a style that balances versatility with a clear rhythmic identity, with more material on the way. Carl Hang is a Berlin-based artist blending disco, boogie and ghetto tech into a sound built for the dancefloor. Alongside his work in the rap duo Hang & Otto, he has remained a steady presence in the city's scene, known for bringing a raw and playful energy to both his productions and DJ sets. A key component to the track follow order on each of our VAs is the idea of a homogenous flow. This idea leans on our childhood memories of a natural album flow so many of our heroes provided.
