Denver-based producer BIkura steps into the spotlight with four-track release dropping March 20, 2026 Brooklyn, NY — February 2026 — Sounds of Khemit is proud to announce the release of catalog number SoK045, a debut solo EP from Denver-based producer and DJ Bikura, set to drop on March 20, 2026. The EP arrives as a natural evolution for Bikura, who first introduced himself to the Sounds of Khemit community through contributions to the label's acclaimed Various Artist Compilation series, Khonsu. Now stepping out on his own, the four-track release marks a significant milestone — his first full solo body of work on the label. Rooted in the sonic philosophy that has defined his productions to date, Bikura blends the weight and momentum of techno with the organic sensibility and sampling methodology of deep house. His music weaves together bliss, melancholy, and introspection, all grounded in a deep rhythmic groove — a sound he describes as an exploration of the edges of sonic comfort and relief. Centered around organic percussion and layered with explorative synths, his work is a constant pursuit of self-expression and audio excellence. The EP features four tracks: Arena, Significativa, Cruz, and Colompio — titles that carry a quiet worldliness, hinting at the cultural and emotional textures woven through Bikura's productions. A resident DJ at Diffusion PNW in Seattle and Kapsoura Music in Denver, Bikura has been quietly building his reputation across the underground circuit. His arrival as a solo artist on Sounds of Khemit feels both timely and earned. Sounds of Khemit, founded in Brooklyn and inspired by ancient Egyptian mythology, continues its mission of merging traditional sounds with contemporary innovation — attracting artists who, as the label puts it, "see with their hearts." Bikura fits that ethos precisely. SoK045 drops March 20, 2026. Which, yes, is also the Spring Equinox. Did we plan that? Maybe. Are we going to pretend it was intentional either way? Absolutely.
