Their remix connects two of techno's longest-standing institutions, celebrating the relationship between Soma and Surgeon that stretches back almost three decades. Portuguese heavyweight Lewis Fautzi pushes the material into darker territory, drawing out its industrial foundations through cavernous sound design, razor-sharp percussion and relentless forward momentum. His interpretation amplifies the raw physicality that has become synonymous with both his productions and DJ sets. Fellow Portuguese artist Norbak explores the deeper, more psychedelic dimensions of the original recordings.
