Twenty years, a thousand episodes, a lifetime of moments to cherish. What started as a promise from a little boy who fell in love with dance music while riding his bike to school has become a global beacon of like-mindedness and togetherness. Every Thursday, A State Of Trance brought people together no matter their descent or upbringing, choosing similarities over differences as it built a community of people that could connect over an unwavering love for music. And that is what we celebrate on this milestone occasion with the 'A State Of Trance 1000 – Celebration Mix', mixed by Armin van Buuren. Chock-full of highlights and precious memories, the 'A State Of Trance 1000 – Celebration Mix' contains only the best in Trance & Progressive as voted for by the A State Of Trance community. Featuring more than a hundred timeless records from Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Chicane, Ferry Corsten, Gareth Emery, John O'Callaghan, Paul van Dyk, Push and so many other contributors, this two-hour spectacle runs through every age and era of the radio show, touching upon the tracks that managed to light a fire within in a way no other track could. Between the lines, gorgeous melodies and iconic tracks, this Celebration Mix expertly points out how the fans shaped the sound of A State Of Trance and helped it become more than just a place to find new music. So let's raise a glass to what was, celebrate what is and embrace all that is still to come for a radio show that has come to mean so much to so many people across the globe: A State Of Trance.

We used to dance together beneath the flashing lights, until we suddenly found ourselves in the quiet. There were no resounding kick drums or euphoric melodies to get drawn into, and dance floors were no longer there to channel the music we hold so dear. But even in the silent dark, we never lost the connection with music and each other. And the power of that connection shines through fully in the eighteenth edition of Armin van Buurens year mix series: A State Of Trance Year Mix 2021. Weaving together a handpicked selection of 106 tracks in its two-hour mix, this brand-new year mix is designed to guide fans back to the dance floor in both body and spirit. Including the years most beloved productions from genre stalwarts such as Above & Beyond, Aly & Fila, Andrew Rayel, Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corsten, Gareth Emery, Kryder, Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Tinlicker and of course Armin van Buuren himself, the mix album serves as a reminder that our love for music can help us overcome any obstacle or setback. From the rabbit hole we rise to dance together again. In A State Of Trance.
