Two certified Dubstep legends touch down with a new collaboration single on Wheel & Deal Records. Badklaat & Requake No Guts EP is a perfect blend of each artists style and sound, built for the dance floor but with a deeper Dubstep integrity. This is not the first release for Badklaat on Wheel & Deal, his successful single Stay Down still repeatedly gets dropped at events and radio shows worldwide as for Requake, this is their debut release on the label and we are proud to welcome them into the family. Requake consists of Sebastien and Adrien hail from Belgium and have been making music together for over a decade as of now. In that time, they have managed to carve out quite a name for themselves, gaining the respect of the likes of Skream & Benga, N-Type, Hamdi, Mistajam, Coki, FuntCase, BadKlaat, Ternion Sound, J:Kenzo and many more. Their distinct style of hard hitting, ultra-low basslines and clean, crisp and sparse drumbeats that manage to still evoke energy, have landed them releases on labels such as Subway recordings, Duploc, Dub Police, Dubstar, Bassclash and now Wheel & Deal Records. When the track No Guts dropped in N-Types inbox he was straight on the phone to Badklaat to see if it was available to sign. He first played it on a Back 2 Back set with Breakfake (for a Dungeon Beats) on Subtle Radio, after this play everyone was asking for an ID on the track. No Guts has now clocked up regular plays from Mala, Coki, Skream & Benga, Hamdi, Youngsta, Caspa, Enigma Dubz, IMANU, MYTHM + more. The flipside Y2K38 is fresh out the DAW and straight to plate. The bassline is bit crushed and weighty with elements of the Riddim sound but dark and minimal. Yet again a perfect example for two minds think alike to form a dance floor banger!
