VOLTA Psy-Trance
Berlin-based producer Kaufmann returns to SPECTRUM with 'Space Sheriff', a groove-fuelled cut that blends classic house swing with a playful, sci-fi twist. Hot on the heels of her recent Drumcode single 'People Are Strange', Kaufmann is in formidable form. 'Space Sheriff' follows her imaginatively titled and heavy-hitting SPECTRUM debut 'John Otto', doubling down on the producer's knack for crafting dancefloor records that balance personality with power. Inspired by classic, swing-driven house grooves, 'Space Sheriff' rides on a tightly wound, funky bassline that forms its backbone. Through slick modern processing, that groove mutates into something distinctly futuristic, layering subtle psychedelic textures and cosmic flourishes over its rolling foundation. The result is a track that feels equal parts warehouse-weapon and intergalactic joyride. Built for adventure.

Drumcode Techno (Peak Time / Driving)
Berlin-based producer Kaufmann unveils her powerful new single Mother. This evocative release is accompanied by two standout remixes from Tao Andra and Mila Journeé, each bringing a distinct vibe to the energetic original. The vocal is undoubtedly at the centre of the track, Kaufmann explains. I took inspiration from a well-known System of a Down track and placed the mother at the heart of the story. Its actually my own voice, which I processed with AI, among other tools. I wanted to combine the energies of my favourite genres: techno with some psy and a pinch of metal. Tao Andras remix takes the track into hypnotic, tribal-influenced techno terrain, while Mila Journeé lends her signature melodic touch with a cinematic, driving reinterpretation.
