All the music is played live in the studio by a revolving cast of killer international vocalists and musicians, including mainstays Dubsworth (Jahtari) out of L.A on bass, rising UK jazz star Tom O'Brien (Vortex) on keys, Parthenope (Blue Note/Ronnie Scotts) on Sax and horns, and Ali Gudgeon (Brilliant Corners/Heavy Vibes) on Percussion and UK session drum hero Joe Montague. Releases including My Name Is Love with Inaya Day on The Disco Express label earlier this year, have been supported by a galaxy of house and disco stars including Skream, Laurent Garnier, Danny Krivit, Mousse T, BBC Radio 1, Hedkandi, Horse Meat Disco, Sophie Lloyd and many more and they have played shows across the UK including Jazz Cafe, Glastonbury, Big Love, Secret Garden, Wilderness, and Beat Herder. For this release, they have teamed up with NYC artist Jessie Wagner, a regular on stage for legends like Nile Rogers/Chic, Three Degrees and Duran Duran, for a new version of the 90s Martha Wash classic Carry On. Ive always loved this song; it's a bit of a secret weapon, says Tee. Martha Wash is also a complete icon, and this is really a tribute to her first. It's also a bit of an LGBTQ anthem, and I remember it from going to Speed Queen and clubs like that in Leeds back in the day. The lyrics are empowering and inspiring whoever you are, and we've been loving playing it live this summer too. Joining Tee on production duties is the legendary Jason Herd, known for his work on Subliminal, Defected, Toolroom and about every classic house label as well as the international chart smash Just Can't Get Enough with Abigail Bailey. Together they have cooked up a delicious blend of disco and house, balancing all the live studio work with club-ready punch, and a killer late-night dance floor dub in a Kid Crème, Junior Jack, Wh0 style from Jason finishes the pack.
