#48 Feat. Hype in Indie Dance

As the summer draws to a close and the nights begin to grow darker, we end our hiatus to bring you longtime friend of the label and a producer we admire, Canadas very own, Sid Le Rock, with a little help from two of Mexicos hottest production talents respectively: Cabizbajo and Colossio, who place their own unique stamp on Sids latest EP Strutline Crisis. The title track certainly struts its stuff, subtly sawing its way through the strutosphere with melodic atmospherics that give way to chimes which decorate the sonic landscape. Crisis Hotline keeps the atmosphere but ramps up the tension with whispered vocal stabs, which punctuate an urgent siren like bassline, which is the hallmark of the track. Cabizbajos interpretation of Strut Your Stuff ups the pace from the original with machine gun drum fills before hypnotic cowbells leave the track descending into tribal debauchery. Finally, Colossios reworking completes the release by bringing a pulsating and persistent acid laden builder, to close out the EP in the darkest but grooviest way possible.
