Shanti Celeste & Gramrcys Peach Discs continues its 2023 run of form as Shanti teams up with good friend Hodge for the second time on the label, following 2019sSoba DanceEP. Recorded fast and loose earlier this year, the EPs four tracks capture an infectious energy from both producers, the titular tune from Shanti featuring her uniquely positive melodic sensibility a perfect foil for Hodges peaky roller Synchronized Swimming, with its ear-worming bassline and jaw-clenching pad strafes. The flip features two versions of collaborative tune Whispers, built around Shantis vocal refrain and tuff, syncopated drums, before going their own way with plaintive pads (Deep Mix) or a laser-reaching piano riff (Rave Mix).
