LAU is finally releasing her awaited third studio album Digital Dream: an album full of retrowave, synthpop and synthwave hits. This album takes you on an emotional journey that explores the intersection of love, attraction, heartache, technology and friendship. LAU (AKA Laura Fares), a prominent figure in the Synthwave and Retrowave scenes, has worked on this album with some amazing international producers like AKRAS (Finland), Brian Skeel (USA), The Lightning Kids (UK), Kraver & Elliot (Netherlands/Switzerland) and Fulvio Colasanto (Italy) creating this super catchy Retrowave album with strong 80s influences, lush synths and infectious beats. The album title Digital Dream is a reflection on the hectic life we live nowadays in the hands of social media. The constant need to create content and to be glued to our phones (especially for artists) and the struggle to be seen. In the end, it takes away from our time to actually be creating music, but its something we all have to do nowadays (especially as independent artists). In a world where digital connections shape human experiences, this song takes inspiration from the modern landscape of social media, virtual relationships, and the blurred lines between online personas and real-life intimacy, and crafts a soundscape that feels both futuristic and deeply personal. LAU reflects about her third studio album: This album took two years in the making. I initially had a shortlist of songs in mind, but I ended up scrapping most of them and starting over. I only kept one song from the original batch, as I had to go with my gut instinct to make this the best album I could make. Im very proud of the final result and super happy I worked with such incredible producers. LAUs heartfelt vocals and honest lyrics make this album a classic not to be missed this year. With its blend of retro-futuristic tones and modern pop sensibilities, the album is set to resonate with fans old and new.
