You can hear the lineage of Chain Reaction in its DNA, but Reinartz isnt chasing nostalgia; hes chasing sensation. Theres a tactile quality to Empty Time (A Flowing Out), as if each sound were being tested for how much weight it can carry before collapsing. The low-end pressure never breaks, but the surface keeps shifting detail spilling into detail until rhythm turns vaporous.
