If we may say so we are talking Detroit royalty here, with three tracks unearthed from the 313 vaults dating back to a studio session with Moods & Grooves main man Mike Grant and the one and only Trackmaster Lou aka Lou Robinson of Scan 7 fame. Pure, raw and dusty Detroit house grooves spread out over the three tracks Music Is, Manifest and Remember with a killer Reggie Dokes remix of the latter thrown in for more deepness for your buck. PIEM, also known as Alvaro Palau, is a Barcelona-based DJ and producer who has been active on the international music scene for more than 20 years, with a deep-rooted passion for house music. Since the early 2000s, he has built a solid career across Ibiza, the USA, and the UK, becoming a key figure in Barcelonas nightlife. His long-time involvement with the Jackies events and his work as a music curator at W Barcelona have made him one of the citys most influential house artists. Throughout his career, Piem has collaborated with legendary labels such as DFTD, Ministry Of Sound, and Crosstown Rebels. His music has been supported by top names worldwide, including Danny Howard and Pete Tong, who have both featured his tracks on BBC Radio 1. He has shared the stage with some of the biggest figures in the global DJ scene, such as Hot Since 82, Louie Vega, Seth Troxler, and many others. Earlier this year, in May, we released Piems track Disco Mordisco, which now returns in a fresh new version remixed by none other than the highly respected Daniel Steinberg. The Berlin-based DJ and producer has been creating exceptional house music for nearly two decades.
