Tuscan-born Luca Agnelli will release his Game Over EP via ARTCORE Records this May. Luca has always placed a strong emphasis on evolution, making him perfect for Indira Paganotto's imitable record imprint. With releases on influential labels such as NineTimesNine, Drumcode, Soma, Planet Rhythm, Reckless and Revised, Agnelli's debuts on ARTCORE with a scorching 2-track EP offering to continue the white-hot path ARTCORE is currently trailblazing. Searing into existence by way of a bone-shaking bassline, 'Game Over' serves up a tumultuous blend of styles diligently deposited for maximum audio impact. A steady incline towards the track's roof-raising midpoint begins after its pounding inception. Accompanied by a hardstyle-MC type vocal, Agnelli employs nautical radar-like effects, oscillating synth and turbo-charged drums before boiling the beat down to a curiously slow pace that makes way for the beat's grand finale. 'Let's Go' picks up in a similar hard-edged fashion to the EP's title track. However, the vocal here runs in tandem with each riotous measure. A bulbous bass rolls out resolutely beneath shotgun snares and stuttering klaxon effects which collide as the track rumbles towards a dramatic, b-movie like synth and eventually closing with the same intensity that it begun with.
