Not Today is the second single off audio/visual duo Zebbler Encanti Experiences debut Ophelia album. Its an explosive anthemic journey into the emotional intersections between color bass, future bass, dubstep, and hyperpop. Classic 2010 early dubstep-like vocal chops deliver the titular hook as a poetic tribute to the subtle brutality of hope and resilience, shouted alone and loudly into a world that can so often feel indifferent. Production on Not Today began in 2015 and captured the perfectly beautiful but broken feeling of the era until a breakthrough came in 2021 with the advent of the color bass sound. This track was the first one produced for this album, setting the tone and vibe for the landscape that would grow into Data Seance. By the time the track was finished, technological advancements in neural audio synthesis had unleashed the power to generate infinite gnarly bass sounds custom-trained AI models, and many sounds were augmented and replaced by the sounds coming out of Encantis lab.
