Marc Cotterell
Marc Cotterell is one of those names that doesnt need hype if you actually know the music. A quiet heavyweight. A craftsman. The kind of producer who helped shape the spine of UK Garage while keeping one foot planted firmly in that proper 90s house ethos; groove-first, ego-last, built for the dancefloor, not the comment section. Now he returns to Good For you with Pick Me Up, a record that feels less like a release and more like a reminder of what this thing is supposed to sound like when its done right. Four-on-the-floor. No gimmicks. A bassline that moves with intent. Vocal chops that hit some buried, primitive part of your nervous system, the part that remembers why you fell in love with dance music in the first place. It doesnt beg for attention. It earns it. This is house music in its purest form: sweaty, honest, functional, and built for rooms full of strangers moving in unison. No trend-chasing. No cosplay. Just rhythm, pressure, and soul... the kind that creeps into every corner of a club and refuses to let go. Cotterell didnt come back to make noise. He came back to make dancers move.

83 was born in 2016 as a sanctuary for creative freedom and bold ideas. Today, it has evolved into a global benchmark label, synonymous with quality and innovation. The label has successfully united the scene's heavyweights, bridging the gap between legendary figures and the new wave of talent shaping the future of broken beats.
Luca Ruiz
For the 6th release on Magie Noire Music, this one feels special: the label's founder steps forward and takes full control. Luca Ruiz - DJ, producer, and driving force behind Magie Noire events as well as other unique gatherings in the south of France - delivers what may become the label's biggest statement to date. Three tracks blending vintage electro and raw, roots-driven house music, shaped by the same hypnotic club energy he's been pushing through his sets worldwide. Rising young talent Aladdin rounds out the release with a sharp UK garage-inspired remix of the EP's standout cut 'We Got Ya' (ft. Teeza) - shuffled drums, tight bass pressure, and instant dancefloor impact.

DrumPhill, PhyLo Mason
The boys of Protect Ryan are having a year. DrumPhill, aka James Sweeney, the member of the trio most notable for his ridiculous head of hair, makes his solo debut on HOMAGE. 6 tracks with THICC ass, swung drums, elastic basslines, and big hooks, drawing a clear line through UK garage, breaks, and bass culture. The release features a standout remix from label family, and one of the best doin' it, Will Hofbauer, who flips Love My Jokes into an amapiano-leaning dancefloor burner, pushing the original into unexpected but very much welcome territory. There is also a collaborative cut, Strangled Duck, written with PhyLo Mason, adding another layer of hardcore energy to the record. This release continues a strong run for the Protect Ryan camp and marks a confident step forward for Sweeney as a solo artist. Look out for other releases coming soon on Badtips, Judder, and Deadbeat.
