Jean Caillou
Madlochs Sound Avenue imprint welcomes back one of its most trusted artists as Jean Caillou returns with Crossroads EP, the latest release on Madlochs Sound Avenue and a confident statement following a longer-than-usual absence. Based in Switzerland, the Zurich artist has been part of the labels core roster for years, and this new chapter marks his seventh EP on the imprint, arriving in early 2026 after his previous appearance in late 2024. Jean Caillou first emerged in 2016 from Switzerlands avant-garde electronic scene, quickly gaining attention for his refined, emotionally grounded take on deep and organic house. Early releases on Magician On Duty, RYNTH, and Underyourskin Records positioned him as a producer with a clear sense of atmosphere and restraint, qualities that naturally aligned with Sound Avenues aesthetic. His relationship with the label began in 2019 through a remix of Joe Millers The Days, a track that resonated widely with DJs and listeners and laid the foundation for an enduring collaboration. Over the years, Jeans sound has matured into something increasingly nuanced, balancing warmth and depth with subtle rhythmic detail. His releases on Sound Avenue have consistently reflected a producer comfortable with space and pacing, favouring mood and progression over immediacy. That steady evolution has made him one of the imprints most reliable voices, returning time and again with material that feels both familiar and quietly exploratory. Crossroads EP brings together four original tracks that sit firmly in Jean Caillous deep and organic house sweet spot. The title track Crossroads opens the release with a flowing groove and understated melodic touches, setting a reflective tone. Encounter leans further into hypnotic territory, while Coruscant introduces a gentle sense of motion through layered textures and subtle harmonic shifts. Closing track House on a Hill rounds out the EP with a warm, grounded feel, offering a contemplative finish that ties the project together cohesively. With Crossroads EP, Jean Caillou reaffirms his role as a cornerstone of the Sound Avenue catalogue. Its a measured return that highlights both his consistency and his ability to refine his sound over time, suggesting that even after years of collaboration, there are still new paths to explore within his distinctive musical world.
St.Ego
Fever Dream unfolds like a half-remembered moment suspended between waking and sleep. Dreamy, eclectic, and gently meditative, the EP drifts through grooving organic percussion, atmospheric synths, and soft, enveloping vocals that feel designed to slow the pulse. Theres a relaxed but steady movement at its core - music for late nights, quiet mornings, or those in-between hours where thoughts wander freely. The title track carries a subtle sense of motion and warmth, while Fever Dream (Ambient Reprise) strips things back even further, dissolving the groove into a calming, weightless soundscape that invites reflection and stillness. At the heart of the project is St.Egos commitment to emotional honesty. Rooted in Organic House but freely touching on chill-out and ambient influences, his music prioritizes feeling over formula, atmosphere over urgency. Each element is carefully placed to create immersion rather than impact, drawing the listener inward instead of outward. Fever Dream captures this philosophy perfectly - an EP that doesnt demand attention, but rewards it, offering a space to breathe, disconnect, and get lost in sound. Approaching Black
Approaching Black returns to Rewoven with the 'Take Me / Falling Into You' EP, his first appearance on the label after more than a year of silence. He has played a major role in shaping Rewoven's catalogue, contributing multiple melodic house releases throughout 2024 that defined the label's warm, emotional sound. This new twotracker feels like both a continuation and a refreshed chapter. 'Take Me' opens the EP with a gentle, rolling groove, soft percussion, and glowing synth layers that slowly wrap around the listener. The track leans into spacious chords and airy motifs, building a sense of longing without ever tipping into fullon drama. 'Falling Into You' moves slightly deeper yet feels more dynamic. Captivating lead arpeggios get a listener hooked from the first minute, while the bass and drums stay understated but steady, creating the feeling of sinking into a memory or a moment with someone close. The arrangement evolves patiently, rewarding focused listening as new details surface. 'Take Me / Falling Into You' EP marks a graceful comeback for Approaching Black on Rewoven, reaffirming his status as one of the label's core melodic voices.
