Z Records is starting 2016 with the follow up to Remixed With Love. It's been over two years since the first instalment which topped many sales charts on its release so now the remixes that made up that album have been heard on house and disco dancefloors around the world ever since, it's time for Volume 2. So allow us to present 20 more reworkings of classic soul, funk, disco and boogie tracks from the likes of Grace Jones, Robert Palmer, Cheryl Lynn, The O'Jays, Gwen McCrae, George Benson and many more. Admittedly, we live in a world where remixes and edits of vintage dancefloor anthems aren't exactly hard to come by, in the same way that grains of sand aren't hard to come by on a beach. But where Soundcloud, Beatport et al heave under the weight of a gazillion bootleg offerings, many taking a dusty, scratched old 12-inch or a dodgy MP3 as their starting point, Remixed With Love is a little different. Not only is the man with one of the most legendary record collections in the game guaranteed to dig deeper than most, every track you hear has been (re)created using spanking new analogue transfers of the original multi-track tapes, with the full consent and co-operation of the copyright owners. Which means not only are you getting the best possible sound quality, the creators of the original tracks are getting paid too as they damn well should be. These multi track tapes also uncovered elements that were not used in the original mixes so Joey has incorporated some of these never before heard parts such as the Grace Jones aerobic workout instruction. Putting an album like this together is no easy feat, as Dave himself explains in the extensive liner notes that accompany this package. First, you have to get permission from the copyright owners to undertake the project at all which can in itself entail hundreds of emails and phone calls. Then you have to track down the original tapes when many may have been recorded over, lost or simply destroyed and convince the label archivists to get them digitised. And that's before you even start on the remixing which is when you find half the parts are missing, or you can't foreground that killer piano lick you wanted to because the original was recorded live in the studio and the piano track has the bassline bleeding all over it. The title of this album is extremely appropriate, because for Mr Lee this definitely has been a labour of love!

DJ Hell, Donner Summer, Mr. G
NEOCLASH is DJ Hells new work. The Electroclash of the early 2000s is reconstructed here, its characteristic codes extracted and reshaped into a modern, reflective form. NEOCLASH is a cultural experiment - music as a medium of reflection, a structure for space and time, and a vehicle for exploring the tensions between technology, the body, and perception. Electroclash now - or a manifesto for the aesthetic relevance of electronic club music, combining strong old-school references with a new understanding. DJ Hell, a.k.a. Helmut Josef Geier, delivers a contemporary reinterpretation of the Electroclash genre. International Deejay Gigolo Records was the pulse of the movement 25 years ago - and Hell, its very namesake. Godfather of Electroclash reloaded. 25 years and many milestones later, DJ Hell returns to his roots with NEOCLASH, proving that Electroclash in 2025 can sound not nostalgic, but forward-thinking and visionary. NEOCLASH builds a bridge between past and present within electronic dance culture and club music. Italo Disco, New Wave, Indie Dance, Disco, Pop, Chicago House, Acid, Detroit Techno, and Avantgarde Music merge here into a bold new interpretation.

Alaia & Gallo, Kevin Haden
When Alaia & Gallo debuted on Soul Heaven back in 2016 with 'Who Is He?' the record quickly swept across dancefloors during that hot European summer. Now Glitterbox Recordings revisit this exquisite Soul Heaven essential, delivering a new remix package for a new decade. Slynk, Saucy Lady
Saucy Lady and Slynk deliver a fresh, next level original tune 'Love Telepathy', a glowing homage to the golden era of Japanese 80s City Pop released on Dippin' Records. On the flip Yuki 'U KEY' Kanesaka, also known for his work as monolog, offers a Cat's Eye Mix that completely reimagines the song with live instrumentation featuring his elite Boston based musicians transforming 'Love Telepathy' into a sweet ode to 80s Japanese funk. Giza Djs, gianpietro
Stil vor Talent welcomes gizA djs for their debut on the label with Italian Situation, a two-track EP moving between house and disco-infused grooves. The Italian duo delivers a release shaped by contrast, nostalgia and sharp observation, translating personal reflection into dancefloor-ready storytelling. Opening track Come Back Darling is rooted in a dusty vocal discovery that sparked a deep dive into the emotional core of house music. Built on 90s-inspired grooves, conga-driven percussion, disco-tinged brass stabs and piano riffs, the track radiates soulful warmth and uplifting energy, channeling classic house spirit through a contemporary lens. On the flip side, What Are You Doing in Italy, created together with Gianpietro, takes a more direct and playful turn. Born from an organic studio jam, a funky bassline and soulful sampling form the backbone of a track that blends irony with quiet protest. The recurring vocal question reflects the artists own conflicted feelings about cultural stagnation and change, while ambient recordings from a real Italian restaurant add an authentic, bittersweet texture.

Its that time of year when anyone with a love of dance music shelters in Amsterdams hotels and bars and discusses the wonderful world of repetitive beats. Post-discussion, and usually post-consumption, they scrap their way into whatever club they can to enjoy said repetitive beats. This compilation gives you the best of our releases from the past year so that you can enjoy some prime Glasgow Underground at a very reasonable price. Back in 2005, roughly 10 years into my musical career, everything seemed to be going my way with steady releases and an active DJ schedule. But creatively, I felt the need to have a playground that would allow me to release my own projects and those of friends or like-minded artists. I was also hitting a wall trying to find a label for a track that I truly believed in. That track was called Friday and it was a collaborative work I did with 20for7, an Australian collective featuring Vanessa Baker, which also included a Trentemoller Remix. This rejection became a blessing in disguise as it led to the creation of Lazy Days Recordings. Friday became LZD001 and it was an overnight success as well as our biggest seller to date. It was even considered by some to be one of the tracks of summer 2005. A few of the labels who passed on the release later confessed to me that they wished they had signed it. Since then, the label has produced 150 releases by over 100 artists such as Atjazz, Shur-I-Kan, Art Of Tones and remixers such as Ian Pooley, Crazy P and Prins Thomas. It also hosted showcase label nights around the world in places like Fabric (London), Miami (WMC) and Montreal (Pik Nic Electronik/Igloofest) as well as a 20-year residency at Salon Daomé. Lazy Days Recordings also received 2 JUNO Award nominations. Running Lazy Days has been a labour of love; love for the music, but first and foremost, love for the people Ive been fortunate to work with. I dedicate this to all the artists, graphic designers, mastering engineers, distributor, PR companies, and of course, all the supporters of the label since day one. This wouldnt be possible without you. For the 20th years, I selected 20 tracks that I think represent the sound and the story of Lazy Days. I hope that you can discover or re-discover some of those gems and that you will continue with us on our journey. Fred

Colombian labels Galletas Calientes Records and Palenque Records strike back with the third volume of their acclaimed AfroColombia Remix series; a series envisioned to bring you revisited modern classics from two musical worlds: African and Colombian sounds reimagined through the lens of contemporary electronic music. This volume not only celebrates Palenque Records 20+ years of activism; it also marks the 20th anniversary of French-Colombian label Galletas Calientes Records, and stands as an humble homage to the memory of deceased, Colombian maestro of Caribbean psychedelic grooves Abelardo Carbono, whose La Piña Madura, originally composed with Will Quantic Holland, gets a new life under Voilaaas magic funky touch. The compilation also features reinterpretations of Nigerian original Igbo Highlife and Ekobe music songs performed by the legendary Oriental Brothers International Band and Azuka Moweta and His Anioma Brothers Band of Africa. This collection of remixes or reworks was brought to you by carefully picked producers and musicians from all over the world, known for their ability to respectfully celebrate the essence of the original songs while introducing new, irresistible grooves: North-American producers Captain Planet and Uproot Andy; Venezuelan, multitalented percussionist and composer Caribombo, and the already mentioned, French disco-funk master Bruno Patchwork aka Voilaaa.

Shir Khan Presents Welt Am Draht - a collection of Exploited dancefloor gold from 2024! Sex! by duo Modular Project rolls out a neat and classy groove as the sturdy bones of a Disco beat thump under a snake-hip bass, serrated acid line and bold, unfiltered piano chords. Bearing flecks of Krautrock, Indie, Electronica and Funk, Made In TLVs Super Cool is an anthem that traverses vast sonic territory. Diar Storm, Lost Boy 1984, Play Paul present a modern form of Dark Wave Electro that is, equal parts stroppy and sexy. Everything So emits cathartic steam as vibrant synths burst with bittersweet chords and jagged staccato tones. Tainted In The Sun by Niv Ast kicks off with a Manchester chorus beaming out over stroppy power chords. Gary Numans cross-continental hit Cars from 1979 has been covered, sampled and reworked from vastly different pockets of the industry. Now - Laroz presents a rejuvenation of Cars. Infinity by Budakid is a journey in the truest sense of the word. Through an effervescent bass sequence, clever filter control and kinetic drum work, Budakid generates consistent motion from start to finish. Falling For You by Komilev dials in that Panorama vibe packed with effervescent drama, soul and sass. Rompe Disco by Alex Medina bumps like House and glistens like an Italo whilst also exuding the moxie of Reggaeton. Foreign Affairs by Micropacer follows with more early 80s flair. Pole Position of Brunch In The Park Barcelona fame channel their complementary energies into Diamonds; a recording inspired by Electro House that deftly straddles 80s New Wave, Prog and Indie. Moodymancs Joy twists Philadelphia soul sounds into a peak time house monster. Now re-edited for modern times in a special Breakbeat version. São Paulo based Renato Cohen fires up his arsenal of analogue gear and adds a bright and burly Italo cut with Lemon Key. Zeynep Erbays Neon Palm sits comfortably alongside modern Indie Dance, Italo Disco and House alike. Slump Recordings boss Baby Rolléns Feeling Mumbled Remix is an ultimately playable DJ tool; one that renders an after hours sunrise as chords bounce of the tracks surface like rays of light while tight, nifty shuffles interlock with a bouncing bass line. Austin Ato fleshes out some deliciously hallucinogenic Italo synths in his Remix version of Super Cool by Made In TLV. Acid Infatuation by Levantine is a sound that occupies a sweet spot between Eurodance and Italo. Black Hawks of Panama steps in with Wrapped. The ingredients are simple: a slapping disco kit, Alpha Juno, zesty guitar licks and an anthemic vocal. The result is a contagious Italo march that burrows deep under the skin; put simply - a slice of pure rapture. Good Times by Renato Cohen sparks things up with bright, muscular drums that pave the way for a rasping bass line - a killer DJ tool. Raw energy is spat out while snares clash and vocals march along with an intensity that doesnt let up. Captain Mustaches Diavola flexes low-mid tones warble in lock step with strapping drums and an earworm synth line. Heart Life by NEAT adds a further facet to the compilation with an allaying Italo-tinged groove. In Neonim by Laroz, a gently jagged bass line bubbles away, creating a buoyant bed for expertly crafted drums which pop out with expressive alacrity. Dulcet piano tones form a bond with amber-tinged synths as warming soundscape is developed. James Curd throws a dart straight to the dance floor with the jazz-tinged House jam Feeling Mumbled built from a classy palette of samples. Sandhog closes the album with the highly memorable recording Berlin that speaks to the power of simplicity.

ts that time of year when anyone with a love of dance music shelters in Amsterdams hotels and bars and discusses the wonderful world of repetitive beats. Post-discussion, and usually post-consumption, they scrap their way into whatever club they can to enjoy said repetitive beats. This compilation gives you the best of our releases from the past year so that you can enjoy some prime Glasgow Underground at a very reasonable price. With the added bonus that, if youre at ADE, and the discussion turns to Scotlands foremost house imprint, youll know what youre talking about.

Cheema (IT)
Cheema — derived from the Italian "cima" (ˈʧima), as in "cima di rapa," "cima di cola," "cima di Bitonto," etc. — serves as the human instrument that brings the traditions of Puglia to the club, utilizing electronic music as a universal language for cultural sharing. Since 1996, Cheema has been an integral part of the music scene, starting as a DJ, progressing to a producer, and eventually becoming a live performer with advanced sound management technologies. The acquisition of new live techniques has enabled Cheema to experiment and collaborate with over 60 musicians to date. This exploration has resulted in diverse musical proposals spanning various genres. Cheema extends the voice of Apulia worldwide with care and special attention, finely balancing the elegance of electronics with the rich tradition of local dialects. This delicate equilibrium exists on the spectrum between experimentation and a dancefloor atmosphere. "Daunia Disko" is an energetic electro-funk tune propelled by almost shouted vocals in the dialect of Monte Sant'Angelo (FG). The voice is extracted from the archive of Memorie Audiovisive della Daunia. Connaisseur stalwarts Of Norway have taken over the remix duties, delivering a powerful piano house track with a hint of acid and half-broken beats.

Lovebirds
This latest Lovebirds EP on Winding Road Records is another absolute masterpiece of chilled house soul and deep rave. A really excellent package, and a must-have release for all Lovebirds fans. On the lead track, Want You In My Soul, Lovebirds teams up with vocalist Stee Downes, of Sonar Kollektiv fame. His collaboration with Lovebirds for Winding Road starts off in lush sweet ambience but builds steadily into a driving vocal deephouse bomb that will rock your world. Hot Toddy's remix of Want You In My Soul is a chrome-plated disco dimension to the track by Crazy P man Chris Todd. It was licensed to Tensnake's 'In the House' compilation long before the remix even saw the light of day. Funk-infested, hot stuff indeed. As if that wasn't enough, there's also the dirty tech of 'Give Me A Dubf*ck', a menacing dose of dark rave that is guaranteed to cause some serious explosions on the harder floors. Tracks exclusive to the digital release are the instrumental and reprise versions of Want You In My Soul, both of which are valuable treasures worth keeping in a secret place!
Pitto
Summer is slowly coming to an end, and Pitto is bringing you the perfect soundtrack for just that. A four-track EP with a smile on its face and melancholy in its eyes. First up is Pitto’s „Burn for Love“, featuring Archie Juno on keys. Its uplifting string arpeggios and heartfelt shiny synths make it a lush summer festival soundtrack. Track two „Run Away“ is a stripped down stomper with an 80s bassline, spiced up with bright sprinkles of synth and Pitto’s own singing. „Galaxy Mountains“, the third track, which again was assisted by Archie Juno on keys, is like an 80s movie set in Miami: constantly shifting between drama and harmony. Think arp bass, choir-esque synths, driving percussions, and a touch of tropical temperatures. And closing off the record is „Bumper“, which transports you right into a high speed car chase through a small southern Italian town at sunset. After all this excitement, how about we just lay down by the pool and enjoy the last rays of sunshine?
E. Live
E. Live finally gives in to the global pressure to get both of these tracks a proper release and who better to handle it than the crew at Star Creature HQ. E. Live takes the vocal duties for the hot A Side reminiscent of his first single's A side, 'Everybody.' The B Side is a smooth and hard hitting instrumental spacey jam done up in his signature Bay Area funk style.

Daniel Monaco
Daniel Monaco is a musician who defies definition. An artist who is as comfortable strumming a bass as he is bending waveforms on his synths, this is a creative that guarantees something unique. Tu Sei Pazza more than meets that guarantee. The title track is an instant classic. Soft burbling basslines float around a steady kick before daring brass sections are punctuated by scaling xylophone lines. Somewhere between late 70s lounge music and strikingly modern disco, this piece will put a smile on any face. Whodamanny lands on the flip and takes the original to moonbase five via Studio 54. Tempos are reduced as a path of cosmic laser-funk is taken by the amazingly versatile Naples producer. A cracking close to a 7 that packs a real punch.
