Pipe & Pochet Records proudly welcomes fresh faces Chapacan and D'Khem to the family with an EP that feels like an invitation to travel without borders. A journey through rhythm, culture and emotion, blending Middle Eastern textures, Brazilian warmth and Latin soul into a deep, organic sound made for the dancefloor, the duo moves naturally between downtempo, Afro House and Afro Tech. Each track carries its own atmosphere while remaining connected through hypnotic percussion, melodic vocals and immersive grooves. The result is both intimate and powerful: music that feels equally at home during a sunset ritual or in the middle of a late-night dance floor moment. Rooted in movement and inspired by different corners of the world, the EP captures a meeting point between tradition and modern electronic music, deep, rhythmic and timeless.
Hindu Kush is an electronic journey inspired by the mountains that stand between worlds while connecting their cultures. Anchored by the deep resonance of the Afghan rubab and the ethereal tones of the Herati dutar, the release bridges ancient traditions with modern soundscapes. From introspective depths to pulsating, trance-like grooves, Hindu Kush evokes the mystic pulse of the East meeting contemporary electronica : a dialogue between earth and sky, memory and motion. The EP also features a beautiful cast of remixers, including Ben & Vincent, KasbaH and Rogerio Lopez, each bringing their own unique interpretation to the journey.
https://www.instagram.com/nunorthernsoul/ Sydneysider Perth Lewis (real name Luke Fugar) is one of the global Balearic scene's genuine rising stars – a producer whose often bedroom-made beats and soundscapes have caught the ear of the Balearic Network, San Francisco's Dream Chimney label (who issued 2025 full-length Jetty Summer), Blank & Jones (who have thus far snapped-up two of his tracks for the Michibar compilation series) and NuNorthern Soul founder Phil Cooper. The Ibiza-based DJ fell in love with Fugar's self-released albums Moments In Time and Distance Between, reissuing them on NuNorthern Soul in a bid to raise the producer's profile worldwide. Now Cooper is ready to share the Australian's first fresh work for the label, a predictably impressive four-track EP entitled Cherry Moon. It's naturally reflective of Fugar's work to date, which draws inspiration from legendary DIY music-makers of the 1970s and 80s while focusing more on mood, tone and texture than production polish or high-end trickery. He tends to utilise a relatively small number of dusty drum machines and synthesisers, as well as his beloved electric guitar. The results are rarely less than magical. To kick-start the Cherry Moon EP, Fugar eases us in gently via 'Sunset Jam', where undulating, Tangerine Dream style synth motifs, atmospheric field recordings, echo-laden melodies, immersive chords and drifting vocal snippets recline a slow-motion, effects-laden and head-nodding groove. The Australian's love of delay and reverb-laden beats and dub-wise basslines comes to the fore on 'Monolith', a typically tactile and evocative affair peppered with twinkling piano motifs, deeply spacey pads, sun-baked Rhodes licks and sparkling, sun-bright electronics. It's immediately followed by 'Basis of Reality', a slightly more propulsive and upbeat affair in which marimba-style synth motifs, bubbly bass and morning-fresh lead lines rise above a punchy, electro-influenced beat. Drawing proceedings to a close is title track 'Cherry Moon', where skittish drum machine breakbeats and jazzy bass come cloaked in kaleidoscopic, maximalist pads, melancholic motifs, simmering synth-strings and bittersweet, mid-80s style melodies. It's a gorgeous and enveloping end to a genuinely stunning EP. Forest in the Sky lives in the slow-gressive dimension of AALEX. A downtempo progressive journey where weight and lightness coexist. A heavy, rolling bassline moves like something ancient beneath the surface, steady and grounded. Above it, organic textures breathe slowly, unfolding with patience. The atmosphere feels suspended, somewhere between earth and sky. Crackling electric tones cut through the air, like high-tension cables vibrating in the wind. It feels as if the earth is trying to speak to the sky through electricity, or the sky answering back. There is tension, but it is calm tension. Controlled. Intentional. Dreamlike yet physical. Meditative yet rhythmic. Forest in the Sky is not about rushing. It is about connection.
Both children nodded. "For over a hundred years, our family has lived on the mountain, and we keep growing. Sometimes we travel down the mountain, sometimes people come to us; anyone who visits is welcome to call our place home." "So…" Minli began, but her words died away as Da-Fu pointed toward the horizon. Minli and Dragon followed his hand and finally saw what could only be Never-Ending Mountain, home of the Old Man of the Moon. Lodzikovsky brings you the mysteries and prayers of the forest. This is her first offering for Shango Records. These tracks will take you to the Garden Of Earthly Delights. Pandani and Strangesonic were born and raised into the forest of emotion and feelings.
Following his standout contributions to the Pny and Audio Scape compilations, Danish producer Rasmus Fisker returns to Mindwaves Music with his long-awaited sophomore album, Cargo. As his second full-length work, the album isn't a departure but a deep, masterful continuation of the aesthetic he has spent years perfectinga sophisticated evolution of the "Fisker sound" that fans have come to admire for its surgical precision and atmospheric weight. Across ten tracks, Cargo navigates the intricate spaces between IDM, Electronica, and Ambient. The album showcases Fiskers ability to balance clinical sound design with a palpable, organic soul. While the foundation remains rooted in complex rhythmic structures and micro-textured glitches, the journey is occasionally colored by a subtle Nu-Jazz touch, where live-feeling syncopation and warm tonal palettes momentarily soften the digital edges. It is a cohesive, mature body of work that feels both grounded and exploratory. From the immersive depth of its ambient passages to the sharp, cerebral focus of its uptempo moments, Cargo is a testament to Fiskers consistency as a producer. By choosing to refine rather than reinvent, he delivers a collection that feels essential to the Mindwaves cataloga high-fidelity experience for those who seek electronic music with both intellect and heart.
