ance. returns with Promise / Hold On, a two-track EP that sits in that space between atmospheric breaks and UK garage, landing on Hot Cakes with quiet confidence. Promise opens things up with a gentle roll and spacious pads, letting the groove take its time instead of rushing forward. Hold On brings a bit more weight, but keeps the same sense of breathing room - thoughtful percussion, subtle low end and a restrained feel throughout. There's something reflective running through both tracks. They're built to work on a proper system, but they also hold up when listened to up close.
