No stranger to the Clarisse catalogue and a reliable worldwide supplier of funky house whenever a club comes calling, Angel Heredia continues to keep dancefloors doing the right thing after the Bang Bang, Take A Trip, Groovapaluzza Seuna Asi, Im Boy and Serenade EPs. Here the head of KoBBoK Records Heredia teams with Julian Collazos for some late-year sunshine. The Malaga-based Colombian, son of a Salsa percussionist and a heavy hitter on the come up, brings his A-game to help Barolito blow the house down. Barolito Amor is armed with a bassline blip taken from the Clarisse playbook and transferred to sandy shores and ski resorts, with percussion pinging off palm trees like a game of paintball, and a set of ear-scraping alarm bells that amplify the frenzy caused by announcements down a megaphone. For as manic as things get, Heredia and Collazo keep the track deep and crisp and even, creating a funky five-minute cracker in time for the festive period.
