The buildup is guided by an appealing voice that never breaks through but is always present. Then the piano emerges in the break, and suddenly youve reached the summit - the horizon wide open, skies bright and endless. Palmanova follows in the same path. The pads will guide you like a fluffy breeze to the next destination. Villach, however, takes things up and comes across as even a little trance-tinged. Were delighted to welcome back Amount, aka Nayan Soukie, to Darkroom Dubs as he returns with four subterranean throbbers that effervesce with trance-inducing lawlessness. A Darkroom Dubs favourite who first debuted in 2013 as one-half of house-combo Soukie & Windish. Since then, hes flourished as a renowned producer, DJ, and seasoned live performer, developing a penchant for sleazy burners primed for the darkest of rooms and those hazy, sunrise-lit, after-hours moments. This latest offering from the Berlin native, entitled Zeroton, is an essential addition to an already impressive back catalogue, with appearances on imprints such as Feines Tier, Running Back, Frank Music and his own URSL label.
