Amsterdam-based DJ and producer HSOP has steadily carved a space with her stripped-back, tension-driven sound, releasing on respected imprints while performing across key European cities and contributing to the vision of the DONKER label. Now making her debut on Ferhat Albayrak's Jeton Records, where she presents Boccaccio EP, a release that unfolds across four tracks, moving between ambient drift, dub-weighted space, and driving, stripped-back techno. It opens with Dream On, where suspended textures and faint dub traces stretch time and set a subdued, inward tone. The title track Boccaccio tightens the focus, built on minimal frameworks and off-kilter sci-fi details that subtly shift the groove without breaking its flow. Frenemy cuts through with a more direct approach, driven by a steady, insistent groove that holds tension without release. Closing track Spinster turns inward again, carrying a restrained melancholic charge, where warmth and distance sit side by side, echoing the slow fade of late summer light.
