Something strange is happening in St. John's, Newfoundland, a city better known for cod and fog than cumbia and 909s, and its name is CUERPOS. The duo of Francis Dawson and Nadia Duman has spent the last several years turning house, techno, post-punk, goth rock, and dub into one glorious pile-up, and now HOMAGE (the Austin-and-Brooklyn label/party that refuses to pick a coast) is thrilled to unleash their latest interrogation of the dancefloor: Que Paso?\n\nOut September 11th, this is CUERPOS' most club-obsessed release to date, produced shoulder-to-shoulder with Montreal's own Jason Voltaire (aka Martyn Bootyspoon). Think Paranoid London's grime, Marie Davidson's deadpan menace, and Matias Aguayo's chaos thrown in a blender with a Newfoundland fog machine. The EP also comes with a remix courtesy of Ebony (Jordan Gardner and Andre Edwards-Roderique), whose LP Unity scored an Electronic Album of the Year nod at the 2025 Junos.
