Nothing gets your club smiling faster than a killer disco jam. We have our go-to favourites at GU (Angelo Ferreri, Dinosauce, Jayden Voss), but we are always looking for fresh funk masters to check out. Boogietraxx is a recent addition to our radar; his Somebody and One Time cuts are pure disco explosions for your DJ sets. Back To 89 started as an instrumental idea he sent Kevin McKay to collaborate on, and after some sample chops and Ableton tennis across the Atlantic, the pair had a killer groove to send to Akeem Raphael. The Moodfunk and Nervous Records star added his vocal touches, and the future disco anthem was complete.
Roxelio and Habbo Foxx are two DJs and producers from the North of England. York-based Roxelio has built a solid foundation of deep and minimal house cuts for tastemaker imprints like Whoyostro and Snake Beat. Leeds-based Habbo Foxxs sound is more wide-ranging; hes had streaming success with piano-fuelled vocal bangers mixed with club-focussed driving tech-house grooves. Together, they have brought us Open Your Mind, a wickedly infectious deep pumper with gorgeous stabs and a hooky-as-hell vocal that reminds us of early 90s techno. If you have enjoyed any of Gorge and Nick Curlys recent 8 bit outings, this if for you.

We are thrilled to welcome two rising Afro-House stars to the label. Nes Mburu is a Kenyan vocalist best known for his stunning single with Alex Wann, Peperuke. Urmet K is an Estonian DJ and producer who now lives in London. He is best known for his huge streaming success, Oceans Of My Mind remix (for Lazarusman & Kaldera) and his DJ-friendly Go Deeva release Fallin. On Manyerere, the two combine for a deliciously driving percussive groove from the peak-time Afro playbook, Nes soaring vocals perfectly complimenting Urmets hypnotic workout—a sizzler.

Castion is the artist name of Spanish DJ and producer Antonio Cabrera. Over the past few years, he has released top-drawer tech house on labels like Sola, Night Service Only, 303 Lovers and Clarisse. If you like the high-octane quirk of Iglesias, this guy is for you. Deeper & Deeper is his debut for us and delivers everything we want from an underground house jam: stand-out samples, popping percussion, and a killer kick-and-bass groove. File under funky-as-fuck.
Hot-as-hell Brazilian DJ & production duo Greenthump follow up their killer Poppin Off (support from Franky Rizardo, Max Styler and more) with another high-octane pumper. Rolling percussion, rapid-fire bass and a solid kick drum form the groove, while a killer rap lick delivers the sparkle on top. Another winner.
For our next heavy-hitting house adventure, we head to Brazil. As well as being one of Brazils Top 100 DJs, Caique Carvalho is a producer of note with killer releases on Lexlays Happy Techno and the on-point This Aint Bristol; it was Arabian, his eastern-influenced release there that caught our ears. Sheik, as you may guess, has a similar background; this time, Carvalho teams up with fellow Brazilian Ishmaru for a full-on tech thumper complete with rolling percussion and a killer sitar hook. It bangs!
Sino is Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Salvatore Cino. Hes released since 2019 and has notched up impressive support; Eats Everything, R3Wire, Black V Neck, and Martin Ikin have all played his tracks. His debut for Glasgow Underground is The Cat, a superb low-slung pumper. Its raw acid bumps and loopy low-end remind us of the mid-noughties when house music had to be filled with spiky electronics to get attention. Think Dusky Kid meets Teasing Mr Charlie with a topping of Miss Kitten, and youre en route to this fat-as-you-like floor shaker.
