    Latex Zebra , Mista Twist

    Beatport Hype

Friends of a label are important, and if those friends are also a collaborating label on music and events the bond is always strong. So, for this release, we welcome Mista Twist and Latex Zebra (Dan Nugent - Prognosis) back to Critical Elements with an original and a remix by Sam T Harper. First up the Original punches straight into the pairs signature chunky breakbeat sound. This track has a huge peak-time sound with deep rolling bass and spacey synth stabs over a unique melody, allowing drama and anticipation to build to a burning high. For the remix we look to a tried and tested artist on our label Sam T Harper. Sam gives the track his well known 4/4 treatment, not straying too far from the original recipe but making it his own nonetheless. Sam keeps an energy throughout the tack which swells to a sea of euphoria in its final phase. Welcome back all, and thanks.

  • Is This Real
BeatTracker #29 Feat. Hype in Electronica

    Is This Real

    Thaddeus (US)

    Beatport Hype

For our next release we welcome Thaddeus back to the label for a scorching double header of original productions. First up we have the lead track Is This Real and the moment we heard it we knew it was special. The term Progressive Trance often gets diluted from its real meaning, but this track nails it. Dreamy synths and a filtered vocal wash over a beautiful melody that will take you to another level of euphoria. The spoken word in the breakdown makes this track a real stand out. Next up we have Talk To Me which keeps dreamy elements but goes for a deeper punch. Thaddeus weaves the groove like a sorcerer on a spine tingling dance floor journey of atmospheric textures, punchy bass and another filtered but subtle vocal that fits the track perfectly. Both originals really are quality productions. To round off the release we look to our very own Mike Bentley to remix Is This Real. Mike opens with his own take of progressive breaks but with unmistakable elements of the original. A deep industrial hook quickly enters the track which locks you into the rhythm immediately. Mike keeps the filtered vocal element to add drama, building suspense for his breakdown before smoothly transitioning back to full flow. An outstanding remix of what was already an outstanding original track.

    Seneca

    Universal Solution

    Beatport Top Releases

Milestones are reached in a labels journey, Critical Elements has experienced some pinch yourself moments so far and this is another. For our next release we welcome the unique production of Universal Solution to the label. A long term artist on the titanic Anjunadeep and with a sound which fits our style perfectly. First up on the EP is Seneca. Fans of the artist will immediately recognise Gavin's distinct, melodic and textured sound. The track builds with warm and spacey pads and synths, weaving a hypnotic rhythm around a percussive vibe which pulls you deep inside the dance. Next Gavin chills things with an ambient mix of the title track. We've always admired Universal Solutions ability to change the soundscape whilst keeping the signature vibe. The ambient version is an unmistakable version of the original, but is a delicate downtempo take with beautiful flow. We hope you love the tracks as much as we do, and we hope to hear more from Universal Solution on Critical Elements soon...
