Half Baked marks their return to music with an immense four-track EP, bringing together some of the most exciting names in house music right now: Jive Talk, Sweely, Praslea and Sam Bangura. These names come from all sides of the house spectrum, from the minimal bangers to the funky tech house slammers. 'Fully Baked' is the label's first release since November 2024, and they came back in style. To begin, the London-based duo Jonny and Sam of Jive Talk are in the driver's seat. The deep house aficionados present 'Bad Ass Rug', a demonstration of their prowess in making an absolute club hit. The track sees choppy vocals coming and going over cowbells and shakers, before an angry, rolling, and infectious bassline attacks, sure to provoke some look of disgust on the face of any dancefloor dweller. A true day party anthem in the making. Sweely has big shoes to fill following the troublesome twosome's track. But if anyone can produce a similarly groovy tech house hit, the Frenchman is the man for the job. '3 Dub TV' begins with a playful laugh before instantly dropping you into a richly textured and bouncy number which is unapologetically Sweely. Rominimal maestro Praslea chisels the second half of the EP into a minimal masterclass with 'Alterlood'. An eerie nine minute long journey, this track welds ominous industrial sounds and indiscernible vocals to create an after hours banger, and sets the perfect tone for the perfect closer. Lastly, but by absolutely no means least, Half Baked resident Sam Bangura clinically closes the project with 'Dhermi Sunrise', a wonderful blend of the minimal and playful sound Half Baked has become known for after 16 years on the circuit. Accordingly, Bangura's track is a perfect ode to your favourite East London label and party in 2026.
