Their journey began in Romania, where they quickly gained a dedicated following, before expanding their fan base across Europe and beyond. Though their music is deeply rooted in the past, it carries an undeniable futuristic quality that resonates with listeners today and promises to do so for years to come. However, the events of 2022 forever changed the trajectory of the duo. Following the war in their homeland, Ukraine, *Kirik* and *Anastasiia* (who performs under the name *Alia*) found themselves separated-Kirik now resides in Europe, while Alia is based in Toronto, Canada. Despite the physical distance, their creative collaboration continues to thrive, proving that music knows no borders. With a renewed sense of purpose, the duo has chosen to rebrand their project under the name *ASPEL*, symbolizing their evolution and commitment to moving forward as one entity. Under this new name, they will continue to deliver the same powerful, forward-thinking sounds that have made them a force in the electronic music world.
